Μια ηχηρή αποχώρηση θα λάβει χώρα από το ειδησεογραφικό κανάλι CNN, μέσα στους επόμενους μήνες. Πρόκειται για την Κριστιάν Αμανπούρ, εμβληματική δημοσιογράφο και παρουσιάστρια δελτίων ειδήσεων και τηλεοπτικών εκπομπών, η οποία έγινε διεθνώς γνωστή ως πολεμική ανταποκρίτρια.
Το τέλος εποχής θα σημάνει τον ερχόμενο Ιούνιο, με την 68χρονη (βρετανο-ιρανικής καταγωγής) Αμανπούρ να δηλώνει τώρα ότι «ανυπομονεί για νέα, ενδιαφέροντα εγχειρήματα στο μέλλον», προσθέτοντας: «Θα στηρίζω πάντα το CNN και θα διαφυλάττω την ιστορία του στην ανεξάρτητη δημοσιογραφία. Σήμερα η Αμανπούρ στο CNN International την τηλεοπτική εκπομπή που φέρει ως τίτλο το επίθετό της: “Amanpour”. Τον Ιανουάριο του 2025, περιόρισε την παρουσία της στην εκπομπή σε λίγες ημέρες την εβδομάδα.
